Purpose and Scope

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this position is responsible for leading the skilled trades, maintenance, and janitorial teams to support ongoing manufacturing operations for each shift.

 

Qualifications

B.Sc. in Engineering or Engineering Technology Diploma with 2-5 years’ engineering experience (EIT acceptable) or Certified Engineering Technologist with 3-7 years’ experience
Exceptional ability to work in and lead a team.
Proven ability to interpret and develop technical drawings, specifications, and documents.
Demonstrated data management and problem solving skills.
Project Management experience.
A desire to work cross-functionally to develop as a leader and engineer and to improve our work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead approximately 20 association employees including, Journeyperson Electrician, Journeyperson Industrial Mechanic, General Maintenance and Janitorial staff.
Tactical leadership of Skilled Trades, Maintenance and Facilities Team.
Assist in tactical, root cause problem solving and technical issues as they relate to Facilities Equipment, Hydraulic Test Rigs, HVAC Systems, and Capital Equipment.
Implement and manage facilities projects including location, installation and systems related to equipment acquisition.
Assist in the creation and management of Equipment and Facility Preventative Maintenance Activities.
Lifting equipment development and approval including third party sign-off where required.
Interact with Regulatory and External Personnel on issues related to Equipment, Facilities, and Maintenance Systems.
