Strong knowledge of hand and air tools.
Must be mechanically inclined.
Good hand eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Clear communication skills both written and verbal.
Basic computer skills. Strong awareness of safety requirements.
Must be able to do shift work.
Removal of weld spatter from welded parts of various sizes using a variety of hand-held tools such as buffers, sanders and chipping tools.
Assist welders where required.
Perform simple assemblies and/or bundle, band or crate parts.
Perform other duties as assigned, with the possibility of being required to move into different departments to perform various duties.
Work as part of a team to meet daily requirements of the department and strive for continuous improvement.
Notify Supervision of any damage to equipment or tooling.
Maintain a clean work area and inform area supervision of any unsafe conditions.
Operate air tools (Sanders, Buffers, Grinders, Chipping tools, etc.). Operate the Overhead Crane.
Ability to work safely and inform supervision of anything unusual or unsafe. Maintain a clean work area using 5S methodology.
Perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job or as assigned by Supervision.
Know and understand WHMIS labeling system.
