PURPOSE and SCOPE:

Reporting to the Product Support Training Supervisor, the Training Developer/Coordinator helps to gather, review, and deliver educational material and course content to our primary audience of dealer technicians as well as other dealership personnel and MacDon staff. They will also drive the coordination of our on-location training events from the planning stages through to facility departure. Ideally, the Training Developer/Coordinator can be counted on to deliver training material for in-person events when the situation requires.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the training team to develop and delivery technical material
  • Development for both in-person and online consumption
  • Maintain online registration process for both online and instructor-led technical training
  • Maintain contacts with training facilities and book for instructor-led training sessions
  • Booking of catering for training events
  • Organize shipment of equipment to and from training events
  • Provide weekly training completion reports
  • Work with Product Support staff in troubleshooting and developing solutions to technical issues
  • Travel to training venues to participate in delivery as well as vet facilities and services
  • Perform any other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Related University degree or College diploma or certificate from a recognized Technical Institution, or applicable experience asset.
  • Effective communicator, team player, ability to adapt to changing technologies/audiences/products
  • Familiar with most standard tools, hydraulic and electrical equipment (multimeters, flow meters etc)
  • Experience with electrical diagrams, hydraulic diagrams, and symbology.
  • Mechanical background or knowledge
  • Accurate, detail-oriented, accountable, possessing advanced research skills
  • Project management experience/involvement considered an asset
  • Instructional experience/involvement considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a remote team
  • Proficient with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SolidEdge, KeyShot, Automation Studio
  • Able to learn new software tools quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to travel in North America and internationally
  • Must hold and maintain valid driver’s license
