PURPOSE and SCOPE

Reporting directly to the Quality Engineering Manager, Quality Engineer performs execution of Quality Engineering systems including; handling of nonconforming materials, Corrective/Preventive Actions, failure reporting, analysis and corrective action (FRACAS), field data collection and analysis and supplier quality assurance. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the main job responsibilities and priorities for this position:

  • Develop, implement and maintain quality engineering procedures and processes as required, to ensure that MacDon products conform to the specified performance, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Execution and control of the nonconformance handling system including; identification, segregation, containment, analysis, disposition and recurrence prevention of nonconforming materials to reduce manufacturing cost and foster quality and productivity improvement.
  • Chairs the material review board (MRB) and ensures timely status updates and reporting.
  • Execution and control of the corrective action system.
  • Create, implement and control appropriate Quality Assurance data collection procedures to ensure that product, procedures and processes are in compliance with relevant quality, performance and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect and analyze product and process performance matrices to ensure that the specified quality and reliability requirements are met. Recommend and execute improvement actions as necessary.
  • Interface with the Engineering and Product Support groups to ensure that adequate and timely analysis as well as root cause identification and correction of escalated field issues are provided.
  • Performance of Product and Process audits.
  • As member of the supplier management team, together with Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, accountable for all Quality Assurance aspects of Supplier selection, qualification, approval and surveillance activities.
  • Work with the Manufacturing organization to ensure process control and quality of workmanship.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering to determine and implement mandatory inspection points (MIP) plan.
  • Work with Manufacturing to ensure that an adequate system for identification and traceability of parts and materials used in deliverable products is implemented.
  • Identify, analyze and monitor quality engineering key performance indicators (KPI).
  • Provide necessary quality engineering support to the Receiving Audit program.
  • Support the Configuration Management system.
  • Actively participate, and represent Quality, in product development teams and perform APQP activities as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • B.Sc. in Engineering.
  • Green or Black Belt in Six Sigma.
  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience in a design and manufacturing environment.

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Applied experience in statistics and statistical process control.
  • Applied experience of advanced product quality planning (FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, etc.).

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

This position oversees shipping, receiving, logistics and/or Advanced Warehouse planning. Lead a group of Distribution Center employees ensure productivity measures are being met. Each DC Lead will be responsible for a functional area of the Distribution Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Shipping/Receiving

  • Monitor functional area and ensure staff are handling product as per quality standards.
  • Monitor functional area and ensure staff is preforming activities as per the shipping and receiving schedule.
  • Ensure trailers are being loaded and unloaded in reasonable timeframe.  Assist staff with questions regarding basic work functions.

PURPOSE and SCOPE

Performance of Product Audit program activities for all different models of MacDon produced equipment, and timely provision of associated Product Audit reports

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the main job responsibilities and priorities for this position:

  • Perform product audits on the different models of MacDon products in accordance with documented work instruction, performance spec, application requirements and audit criteria.
  • Generate product audit reports in accordance with established pass/fail criteria and clearly depicting findings including description of statements, photographs, demerit points, etc.

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

As a member of the MacDon Information Technology (IT) Team, the Technical Support Specialist will provide exceptional first-level customer support for MacDon IT hardware, network, and enterprise application incidents & requests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are the main job responsibilities and priorities for this position:

  • Provide 1st level support for various technical issues & requests involving computers, printers, network, mobile devices, AV systems, enterprise applications, and operational systems.
  • Communicate with internal & external customers requesting IT support via phone, email, self-service portal, and in-person.
  • Track open IT support requests to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.

PURPOSE and SCOPE:

The Shop Student is responsible for assisting the Experimental Mechanics through interpreting engineering drawings to assist in the fabrication of prototype machinery and the updating of prototype part locations and status through the Engineering Build Shop. This is a 4 month-term starting May 2.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in conjunction with Engineering Shop Supervisor, Design Engineers, and Experimental Mechanics preparing machines and prototypes for Field & Lab Testing.
  • Complete Equipment Inspection Sheets.
  • Update Parts Locations & Status on Engineering Part Tracking System.
  • Update Build Schedules in Engineering Bays for better build visibility.

PURPOSE and SCOPE

The Test Engineer is responsible for verifying and validating our emerging technologies and current production features. The work of this function focuses on the execution of test plans (Field & Lab), reporting of test outcomes and support experimental prototype builds. This position will be based in Sun Prairie, WI.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, execute and report on field test plans of prototype equipment to make recommendations to enhance functional performance and improve reliability/durability
  • Support experimental prototype shop through fabrication, assembly, and rework activities. At a minimum, this will include complex assembly work
  • Assists in the development and review of lab test plans to ensure plans are complete, timelines are clear and ownership and responsibilities are understood
  • Responsible for instrumentation selection required to execute test plans in the field and lab

Reporting to the VP of Product Development, the Manager of Product Research and Development oversees MacDon’s portfolio of proof-of-concept projects for future product designs.
